2025 Earth Day Willow Harvest and Planting -- Saturday, April 19, at 9 a.m.-11 a.m.
We will be restoring riparian habitat along the McMurdo Gulch Trail portion of the Colorado Front Range Trail by planting willows. The willow conservation project is perfect for scout groups working on their conservation badges!

See maps below for Team B location. When you arrive, please park in designated area only, sign-in, get your instructions and tools. Your Crew Leader will walk with you to the Harvest Site where you will harvest willows and plant the willows.

Parking Parking lot across from 4042 Desert Ridge Circle at Sage Canyon Elementary (designated area only). EVERYONE must meet at the school parking area, check in and we will walk together to the site.
Event Time 2:00pm-4:00pm
Arrival Time 1:45pm
Notes Bring your own gloves and cutting shears if you have them. If you don’t, we will have plenty for you to use! We will provide water, gloves, vests, tools, and instruction.

PROCEDURE AND GUIDELINES
- If a participant is age 14 or under, we require a participating parent or guardian at all times.
- Everyone must register prior to the event.
- Wear closed-toe shoes for walking and keep hands free for work - (suggest zippered pocket or backpack).
- Stay home if you feel sick.
- Volunteers will wear the orange safety vest during the outing, provided by the Coordinator at the time of the event.
- All tools and equipment will be provided.
