TASK: Clean Up on East Plum Creek Trail at Castle View High School

LOCATION:  Castle View High School / EPCT -behind the school
ADDRESS: 5254 N Meadows Dr, Castle Rock, CO 80109
PARKING: Meet behind the school, in the back parking lot between football field and railroad tracks off of Sabercat Road.... look for Town of CR POST F150 TRUCK with flashing light on top.

PROCEDURE AND GUIDELINES
1. If a participant is age 14 and under require a participating parent or guardian at all times.
2. Everyone must register prior to the event.
3. All participants will provide a signed waiver (one per family per year).
4. Wear closed-toe shoes for walking and keep hands free for work - (suggest zippered pocket or backpack).
5. Stay home if you feel sick.
6. Volunteers will wear the orange safety vest during the outing, provided by the coordinator at the time of the event.

All tools and equipment will be provided.

TASK - Trail Clean Up at Douglas County High School / Hangman's Gulch Trail
LOCATION: Douglas County High School - 2842 Front St, Castle Rock, CO 80104
PARKING: Meet at DCHS off of Front Street in the NORTH parking lot-- turn into main parking lot off of Front Street, go straight back and go left to the north parking lot and look for Town of CR white F150 with flashing light on top.

LOCATION:   1375 W Plum Creek Parkway (West of I-25)
MEETING:     Park and meet up by the Amphitheater Parking Lot. Look for Town of CR POST Partners truck with flashing light on top.

LOCATION: Metzler Ranch Park - across from Walmart by the hockey rinks and playground.

PARKING: Park and meet in parking lot directly across from Walmart on Sam Walton Lane. Look for POST Partners Truck.

Join us for an informational meeting to learn about the Colorado Bluebird Project and how you can get involved!

Each February, we recruit volunteers of all ages to help monitor nest boxes from April through August. Volunteers also assist with maintenance and repair of older boxes throughout the season.

Come discover how you can make a difference for bluebirds in our community!

Date:        Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2025, 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Special Olympics Colorado – Seasonal Sports & Volunteer Opportunities

Special Olympics Colorado (SOCO) sports and teams operate on a seasonal basis, with practices held weekly. Each sport includes regional and state competitions, with details provided during the season.

Winter: Basketball (January–March, Sundays)

Spring: Swimming (April–June, Sundays)

Summer: Golf (June–September)

Please note: Sports are subject to change based on interest, scheduling, and program requirements.

All volunteer onboarding, background checks, and training are managed directly by Special Olympics Colorado.

Shuttle drivers are needed M - F from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm for specific routes.  All drivers must pass a background check and have a valid Colorado Driver's License.
