April is Volunteer Month, a time to celebrate the individuals who make Castle Rock stronger, more connected, and more vibrant. From coaching on the field to caring for trails, supporting inclusive programs, and mentoring youth, volunteers are at the heart of it all.
In 2025, volunteers made an incredible impact, contributing a total value of $973,342 to our community.

Athletics volunteers, 320 strong, gave 10,140 hours as coaches, race support, and event leaders, helping participants of all ages build confidence, skills, and a love for recreation, with an impact of $392,824.
POST Partners engaged 3,200 volunteers who contributed 8,900 hours across more than 180 events, leading trail projects, conservation efforts, and programs like the Bluebird Project to help preserve Castle Rock's natural spaces, with an impact of $344,786.
Therapeutic Recreation volunteers, 117 in total, gave 734 hours supporting programs like Special Olympics, iCan Bike, and social events, ensuring individuals of all abilities have access to meaningful and inclusive recreation, with an impact of $28,435.
The Teen Advisory Group, made up of 16 dedicated youth, contributed 181 hours planning and supporting community events like Spooktacular and Giving Tree while developing leadership skills and giving back, with an impact of $7,012.
Golf volunteers, 53 strong, provided 5,170 hours as course marshals and event support, creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all players, with an impact of $200,285.
