Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation

Established in 2012 by the late Ernie Fazekas, the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation is a resident-led non-profit foundation. Our vision is to elevate the community's recreational, cultural, and educational experiences. We partner closely with the Town of Castle Rock Parks and Recreation Department and other local organizations to make our outdoor spaces the best in class.

Our mission is to engage, educate, and advocate for outdoor experiences that promote community wellness, inclusivity, and environmental stewardship.

The purpose of the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation is to promote and enhance our parks and trails by:

• Creating educational opportunities for the community that assist them in having an enjoyable recreational experience.

• Cultivating local partnerships to build a dynamic and supportive recreational community.

• Providing a unique, user-friendly, comprehensive website and digital platform that communicates and advocates for parks and recreation offerings and events.

• Developing and spearheading fundraising projects that encourage parks and trails engagement.
